LONDON (Reuters) – Britain will donate 13 armoured autos to assist evacuate civilians from besieged areas within the east of Ukraine, the federal government stated on Tuesday.

“This newest donation of armoured autos will assist defend harmless Ukrainians making an attempt to flee Russian shelling and help Ukrainian officers finishing up important work,” Overseas Secretary Liz Truss stated in an announcement.

Britain stated the steel-plated autos, which might resist excessive velocity bullets, anti-personnel mines and improvised explosive gadgets, would even be used to move officers to short-term command posts and to assist staff rebuilding railway traces.

The autos have been being donated from a international workplace fleet in response to a request from the Ukrainian authorities and would begin arriving inside days, the assertion stated.
