Sharks star Timo Meier may play Thursday vs. Oilers regardless of lower-body harm

Regardless of pulling off a powerful come-from-behind victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday, the San Jose Sharks had a cloud hanging over them after top-line winger Timo Meier left the lean with an obvious lower-body harm.

But it surely may not be all doom and gloom for Group Teal, because the Swiss ahead may really be good to go on Thursday when his group visits the Edmonton Oilers.

“Fingers crossed he’ll be wonderful to play tomorrow,” Sharks head coach Bob Boughner instructed the media Wednesday.
