Jonathan Reynolds, Playwright and Meals Columnist, Dies at 79

Jonathan Randolph Reynolds was born on Feb. 13, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Donald Worthington Reynolds, founding father of the Donrey Media Group, and Edith (Remick) Reynolds.

In 2003 Ms. Ettinger had the problem of making the set for a one-man present that marked Mr. Reynolds’s return to appearing after a prolonged layoff. It was referred to as “Dinner With Demons,” and in it Mr. Reynolds cooked a full dinner, together with deep-frying a turkey, whereas relating assorted anecdotes. That required placing a functioning kitchen onstage on the Second Stage Theater in Midtown.

Authorized restrictions meant the viewers didn’t get to eat the meal; the backstage crew was the beneficiary. Mr. Reynolds instructed The Instances that the toughest a part of executing the present was ensuring the dialogue and the cooking ended on the similar time.
