Hope Solo requests postponement of Nationwide Soccer Corridor of Fame induction, says she is going to voluntarily enter alcohol remedy

“I’ve contacted the Corridor of Fame and respectfully requested a postponement of my Corridor of Fame induction ceremony to 2023,” Solo stated in a assertion posted to social media on Friday.

“I will likely be voluntarily getting into an in-patient alcohol remedy program to deal with my challenges with alcohol. At the moment, my energies and focus are completely directed to my well being, therapeutic and taking good care of my household. I wish to thank the Corridor of Fame for his or her help and for understanding my determination,” Solo stated.

Earlier this month, Solo was arrested in North Carolina on expenses of misdemeanor baby abuse, resisting arrest and impaired driving, police stated.

Solo was arrested in 2014 on home assault expenses after police stated she assaulted two family members at a house close to Seattle. The costs towards Solo, who entered a not-guilty plea, have been formally dropped in 2018.

The Nationwide Soccer Corridor of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for Might 21 in Frisco, Texas.
