SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – Greater than two dozen horses are lifeless after a barn caught fireplace in Scott County.
Firefighters say it occurred early Sunday morning at Brannon Stables on Ironworks Pike.
Crews say the barn was fully burned to the bottom by the point they made it there. There is no such thing as a official phrase but on what sparked the fireplace. Fireplace officers say they are going to be again out on the scene this week to proceed the investigation.
Elena Jordan says 25 horses had been killed within the fireplace, together with one she rode.
“His title is Money. He was 12 years previous,” Jordan stated. “He’s a saddlebred and he’s simply one of the best horse there’s on the market. Tremendous candy and mild.”
A present horse, Jordan says Money bought his title from the cashew shade he bought when he was clipped within the winter.
Jordan says the tragic incident has left her and 24 different riders grieving in the identical means as they’ve every misplaced one thing very near their hearts.
