Lazar LaPenna, a fourth grader at East College in Lengthy Seaside, handed away Friday after operating to first base and collapsing.

Eyewitness Information reporter Kristin Thorne spoke with Lazar’s heartbroken father at their residence.

“The city has been so supportive, everyone,” Gregg LaPenna stated by means of tears.
